This blanket hoodie is honestly one of the best purchases I've made. I've been wearing it for a week now to really test it out and I have to say, It's so warm that I've been able to significantly lower my home thermostat without getting cold. And I'm typically always cold, even in the summer! I'm that person that uses heating pads and portable electric heaters because I can never get warm, even when the house is at 72 degrees. But with this blanket hoodie, I've been running the house at 65 degrees comfortably! As long as I'm wearing this then I don't get cold. In fact, I keep checking the thermostat thinking that someone else in the house turned the heat up but nope, the house would still be at 65 degrees and I stay miraculously warm in my hoodie blanket. I sleep in it too and I have yet to get cold. And when I put the hood up...whoa, I get even warmer, it's like a little oven. I'm going to save some serious money on my heating bill this winter since I've been barely running the heat once I started wearing this.
For reference, I'm 5'8" and I got the Adult regular size which hits just a little below my knees. I got the one with the kitties and it's adorable, lifts my mood just looking at it because it's so cute. I also bought the alpaca one for my 83 year mom (she's 5'4" and her Adult size hits about 4 inches below her knees) who is always freezing and this solved that problem for her. She doesn't take it off and she says it's the only thing that keeps her warm. The blue color on the alpaca style is beautiful, she loves the way it looks.
I've washed it twice now and it came out looking perfect and fluffy just like new. Normally it wouldn't need that much washing but I fell on our deck and it got covered in dirt/mud/snow. It all came out in the wash and it looks/feels new again. FYI: I wash it on cool temp and low heat dry with no problems.
Also, If anyone doesn't like the look of the round brown logo tag that's sewn on the front pocket, i took a tiny pair of scissors and worked the thread out carefully until I was able to remove the tag without hurting the fabric, you can't tell that it was ever there to begin with.
If you're like me and always cold then you'll probably want to buy 2 so that when one is in the washer you'll have another one to wear while you wait.
